iPad Cydia Tweak: Zeppelin [Video]

Zeppelin is a new cydia tweak that will allow you to get rid of your carrier logo on your status bar, and add a custom logo. This tweak includes 11 stock logos to choose from initially, and will likely be updated with more in the future. Most importantly is that this cydia tweak is available for FREE for your iPad.

Logos to choose from Android, Aperture Science, Assassin’s Creed, Batman, Beats by dre, Blue Cloud, Infiniti, Pac-Man, Space invaders, Superman, and Triforce. Just update Cydia and search for Zeppelin to install and enjoy…definitely a matter of customization and preference.

iPad Cydia Tweak: Volume Step [Video]

Have you ever had a problem getting the right volume setting on your iPad?

The untweaked iPad has 16 “volume steps” which would be the 100% setting on the Volume Step Cydia tweak. This tweak allows you to have either a more fine or coarse volume adjustments, with 100% being the original Apple setting. With this enabled at 50%, you essentially get twice the volume sensitivity as compared to a stock iPad.

Volume Step is a free tweak available from the BigBoss repo, there is not a new App added to the springboard. There will be a new extension called Volume Step with it being installed Enabled and set at 50%.

iPad Cydia Tweak: UnlockFX [Video]

Filippo Bigarella brought Springtomizer 2 for iOS 5 to the iPad and iPhone over a month ago. This past week he released a new Cydia tweak called UnlockFX for the iPad and iPhone. This tweak comes with over 30 different effects for display when unlocking your jailbroken iPad.

There are a few of these animations that don’t work well for the iPad in landscape mode, but I’m sure there will be an update from Filippo to correct these few minor issues. Overall, my iPhone 4 had no issues with this tweak.

Untethered iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak Tutorial For iPad [Video]

Here is a quick tutorial with the details for jailbreaking your iPad in iOS 5.0.1. This is an untethered jailbreak via redsn0w 0.9.10b1 from the iPhone Dev team. I sped the video up a little bit to keep in around 5 minutes. The hardest part is probably getting your iPad into DFU mode, which is pretty easy after you get the hang of it.

This tutorial isn’t very complicated, drop a comment if I missed anything. Now you are ready to enjoy Cydia on your iPad with your untethered jailbreak, be sure to install Springtomizer 2 on your iPad along with Activator and SBSettings.

Chronic Dev Team iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak [Video]

The Chronic Dev Team led by pod2g released a video of their untethered jailbreak on iOS 5, this sadly didn’t include the iPhone having Siri activated. It appears that they have created an untethered method for iOS 5 on the iPhone 4, iPad, and other older devices running iOS 5. Check out the 2 minute video for yourself. I would love to have Springtomizer 2 on my iPad with an untethered jailbreak!

This means that iOS 5 will finally be untethered once this can be packaged for the jailbreak community. Both the iPhone Dev Team and the Chronic Dev Team are working hard to bring the community a convenient, quick, and simple jailbreak exploit method. Springtomize 2 is now available to download in the Cydia App store for your iPad running iOS 5 jailbroken. With this tweak you can customize your iPad’s animations, dock, Lockscreen, icons, folders and much, much more. It really is quite amazing how much Springtomize’s developer (Filippo Biga) has managed to pack into one single jailbreak tweak. Check out this video walkthrough of Springtomize 2 for iOS 5+ on the iPad (1st Generation)

Since I (and many of you readers) have already installed Springtomize for iOS 4, the initial cost during the first week or two will be $0.99. The price is $2.99 for new users of Springtomize, the price is expected to increase to $5 ($2.99 for upgraders) after the first couple weeks trial period.

Definitely the best tweak available out there for the iPad!
