“iPad Mini” Production Ramping Up

The Liberty Times of Taiwan is reporting that LG is working hard to get the 7.85-inch LCD panels ready for Apple. It is expected by many that the iPad Mini will stick with the 1024×768 pixel dimension on the smaller LCD panel. This will keep the new iPad Mini at half the resolution of the new iPad, and the same as the original iPad and the iPad 2 still being produced.

Amazon managed to prove there is a market for a smaller tablet, so Apple has decided to bring a lower priced iPad to the masses. I would expect the iPad mini to be aggressively priced at $199 to compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire, I really think $299 would be too high. Somewhere in-between at $249 is certainly possible though, do you think the iPad Mini rumors are true?

  • Remain in iOS 5.1.1 for tethered jailbreak

  • Restore to iOS 5.0.1 for untethered jailbreak
  • Jailbreak also available in iOS 4.3.3

New iPad Jailbreak
